Running on faith....

Running on Faith ...
If you've read my writings before you know I'm all about music, sometimes music relates to whats going on and sometimes I write about music.  I was going through itunes looking for some inspiration and came upon a playlist I labeled "thinking music"   The first song on the list is Eric Clapton singing "Running on Faith"

It starts out "Lately I been running on faith, what else can a poor boy do? But my world will be right when love comes over me." Many times I find myself  "running on faith" but also wonder at times am I really running on faith?   And what about this  love that is going to make "my world  right?"  The Bible mentions Faith, Hope and Love with love being the greatest. When working on a car some people put their faith in a jack, I prefer putting my faith in a jack-stand, and many have bought a lottery ticket and hoping to win.
But what is love?  Sometimes it's that little read headed girl in our life that turns us into Charlie Brown.  It may be the dog that you forgot to feed in the morning, waiting at the door to jump up and lick your face when you return home after a long day.It may be that Brownie EarthQuake, or that friend you can wake up in the middle of the night when you've pretty much hit bottom.  I haven't found the "little red headed girl", the dog had to be put down, and since being diagnosed with diabetes I've tried to stay away from Brownie Earthquakes, but the friend(s) and family are there when things are not going well. Be it the middle of the night or afternoon I know I can call on them and thats when love come over me.

I really like it. I got home today and I think my dog missed me more than the kids. She would not let me out of her sight all afternoon. After getting to know you this weekend, I am surprised that there has not been a "Little red-haired girl" in your life.
